Okay, so. I finished FF9. And now I have, like...plotbunnies. For a. Retarded multi-part future fic about Zidane and Garnet's son and his adventures trying to be a real man and win Eiko's love.

The thing is, I want this to be a multi-part fic that I a) actually write and b) actually finish, so I was thinking of setting up a special filter for it. So that people on my flist who aren't interested in reading this won't have to see it.

Okay, so I've been rewatching the end of Veronica Mars season one. And it's still so good. I also still love Wallace. And I love Veronica making him spirit boxes. And I don't exactly ship them--I wouldn't have wanted them to hook up in the show, but I wish their dynamic hadn't died so hard in the last season. And I like sometimes thinking about them hooking up and being awesome.

I've been reading a pretty ridiculous amount of Jonny Quest fanfic over the last few days, and frankly I am disgusted and saddened by the total lack of hot, hot, Dr. Quest/Race fanfic on FF.net. Also by many other things, like the number of fics there are where Jessie gets raped or nearly raped so that Jonny can save her, but that's another thing.

In any case, I have written a short fic to 1. Rectify this terrible oversight on the part of fanfic writers and 2. Explain it.

In less terrifying news, or perhaps more accurately, news that is a different kind of terrifying, gaisce and I were discussing the possibility of a comm for fic (writing and recs) of childhood nostalgia fandoms--basically, TV shows from the 80s and early 90s that have pretty dead/small fandoms at this point. The dates could be kind of tweaked, probably, since that's pretty focused on my childhood, but. Would anyone actually want/join/enjoy a community like that?

moar heroes fanfic. Because I felt like it.

Am very amused by the HoYay thread on the TWOP forums, because they spend all their time going "omg nathan/peter! omg sylar/mohinder!" and then there's an occasional post of "also hiro and ando are awesome together but I can't actually see them being sexy." Which is a deterrent for them in a way that it isn't for me; I don't really want to see them hook up, but that doesn't make me like their relationship any less.
